Wedding Information & Guidelines

A New Beginning

The church celebrates with you as you take this next step in your lives together. In the Presbyterian Church (USA) we believe that marriage is a gift of God, enriching two lives into more than they would be on their own. The wedding service is a worship experience of two people who acknowledge their commitment to each other and their faith that, by God's grace, their lives will be united in a spiritual union. The following guidelines are intended to assist both the couple and the church in planning for a joyous celebration.

Wedding Coordinator

The St. Luke wedding coordinator will assist you with the planning of both the wedding and the rehearsal and will be able to answer questions about our policies and practices. The coordinator will be present at both the rehearsal and the wedding to insure that everything runs smoothly.

All couples will meet at least twice with the St. Luke pastor to consider the spirituality of marriage, reflect upon the reports from pre-marital counseling and to plan the wedding service.
When either of the couple or an immediate family member is part of the church family, there shall be no fee for building use. Additional fees for building usage are assessed for non-members; please contact us for a fee schedule.
Photographs and videos provide wonderful memories of your special day; however, the beauty of your ceremony really lives in your hearts. This means that good limits are placed on photographers to insure that the service is experienced in its fullness and not interrupted by those recording the events.

Music selections should reflect the joyous nature of the event as well as our Christian faith. The church organist will advise you of appropriate music and its meaningful place in the service. The Wedding Coordinator can also assist with arrangements for musicians and musical selections.
Facility Information
St. Luke has parking available at the church for use by the wedding party, guests, photographers, and other service providers. Seating capacity within our church is 200. While St. Luke does not cater receptions, Heller Fellowship Hall is available for rental for your reception if you choose. Your Wedding Coordinator can assist you with this information.
